Over and above grant funding, we have to raise an additional £200,000 to complete phase 1(b) of the refurbishment of Govanhill Baths. There will be many ways for you to get involved over the year from donating to exciting events, watch this space!
Bruce! – a series of prints by locally-based Texan artist Kari Stewart, inspired by Bruce Springsteen’s 1978 “Darkness on the Edge of Town” tour – FREE in the foyer until 10 December.
Leylines Theatre Company presents – The Giant and Her Daughter by Helene Grøn

Govanhill Theatre presents – The Secret Love Life of Ophelia
17-21 November in the Steamie 7.30pm
Written by Steven Berkoff and Directed by Bruce Downie. Hamlet and Ophelia express the infinite variety of their passion in a work which takes the form of an epistolary play in verse. Steven Berkoff’s startlingly original drama charts the lovers’ story beneath the surface of Shakespeare’s play. With a muscularity of language tempered with tenderness, Berkoff’s play is shot through with images of courtly love, sexual desire and intimations of future tragedy.

Radical Film Network and Left Film Club present
The Fourth Estate – 7.30pm
The Fourth Estate examines the people and practices of the media industries. Illuminating not only specific incidences of corruption by press groups, but how the wider business as a whole, including the film and entertainment industries, has a huge amount to answer for in the state of the political economy of the west.
The screening will be followed by discussion and Q&A with Director Lee Salter. £3 donation on entry.
Sustrans Consultation – Thu November 26th – 3-7pm
Glasgow City Council and Sustrans unveil plans to remodel Victoria Road to make it more cycle and pedestrian friendly. A consultation and presentation takes place in the foyer at the Baths from 3pm – FREE
