Bee’s Knees Cafe, 83 Bowman Street, Glasgow G42 8LF

Join us for a magical evening of tall tales, fabulous fables, and history that’s stranger than fiction. To commemorate Scotland’s Year of Stories, we’ll be voyaging through the mists of time, exploring the myths and legends that lie buried beneath the city streets. Our guides will be Rae McKinlay, spinner of tales and original Baths campaigner, together with local author and historian Bruce Downie. As fact and fiction intertwine, you’ll see a side of Govanhill and Glasgow that you’ve never seen before! This is also a chance to learn about the hidden history of storytellers, brave souls who at one time had to live as outlaws in order to survive.

This event is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
