Learn to make your own perfect shirt with Slow Stitch Studio!
In this course you will learn how to alter a basic shirt pattern and make adjustments to make your perfect shirt.
We’ll cover button holes, setting different types of collars, basic pattern adjustments and adding pockets.
Suitable for those who have completed our beginners sewing course or have a couple of garments under their belt!
In this 4-session workshop you will learn about different variations of shirt styles then guided through the process of making their own perfect shirt to walk away with.
Over the 4 weeks you will cover;
Week 1 - Design, materials and variations
Week 2 - Cutting
Week 3 - Drafting
Week 4 - Finishing
Using upcycling principles throughout, you’ll contribute to the ever-growing world of slow fashion and gain the understanding and confidence to use a sewing machine to create your own projects at home!

Please note: The Deep End is taking part in
Doors Open Day on 16th September, so there will be visitors in the building, but not in the class. After your session, participants will also be welcome to tour the other workshops at the Deep End including, ceramics, plastic and woodwork.

Eva is a graduate of Dundee School of Art and the Fashion Technology HND at Glasgow Cardonald College, she runs her own business
Slow Stitch Studio focusing on creating sustainable heirloom items and teaching textile based crafts. As a workshop tutor, Eva aims to create a comfortable creative space for participants to work towards their goals in.
