A Dedicated Learning Space

.

Govanhill Baths Community Trust currently runs over 300 workshops a year. We do this without a space dedicated to learning. With the completion of the refurbishment, the learning programme will move into its own dedicated space. We are very excited to be able to expand our programme, offering long-term engagement and site-specific projects. We will do this through the provision of a dedicated learning space. The space will be situated in the steamie, a site steeped in history.

.

For schools, this means that we will be able to offer activities to up to 50 children at once, meaning that whole classes can visit the baths at the same time. We also aim to offer handling boxes for loan to schools, ensuring effective pre-visit engagement. We will ensure that our learning programme is accessible to visitors with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), a key part of our Inclusive Access Plan.
