About Frances:

Frances Diver has been part of the Govanhill Baths Community Trust since it was formed, from the Save Our Pool campaign which began in 2001. She qualified in ceramics at Glasgow School of Art, has a Masters in Education and, after a stint working in a commercial pottery, taught art in schools and outreach facilities in the southside of Glasgow for many years, and ran community classes in Pottery skills. She set up Govanhill Baths Ceramics in 2016 as a pop-up and part of the Baths’ Wellbeing programme and is delighted that its success has led to a permanent workshop at the Deep End.
