After last years amazing success Growing Govanhill is back! Did you take part in last year’s workshops and want to carry on? Or, are you brand new to growing veggies and flowers and would like to learn more? Join us and the amazing Urban Roots gardeners at the Toryglen allotments garden to grow your own veggies, flowers, fruits and herbs, sit round the fire and get some fresh air! Our facilitator Klaudia will take you through all you need to grow things in raised beds and gardens, and in between sessions you can come along to tend the plots and pick up other bits of know-how from Urban Roots gardener Stuart (NB: to do this you will need to sign up as an Urban Roots volunteer – all the necessary details for this will be provided).
Please dress for the weather! Bringing layers, waterproof and comfortable footwear. You may also want to bring some water, a snack and any medication that you require. NB: bathrooms are 5-10 minutes walk from the site.
Booking is essential as numbers are restricted. COVID-19 recommendations and regulations will be observed regarding social distancing and personal hygiene, etc.
