We have a variety of Wellbeing classes to improve your physical and mental health, develop your skills, improve your employment opportunities, and help you to get to know other people in Govanhill and nearby.

We run two classes:
Pottery for Beginners
In this class participants are introduced to different techniques and learn to make pots and sculptures including, pinch, coil, slab and tiles. Explore decoration to see your ideas come to life! Classes run on Friday mornings in six-week blocks.
Pottery for Improvers
Once you have completed the above class you can join the Improvers class and develop your skills further along with learning new techniques, like using plaster molds to make bowls. Classes run on Friday afternoons in six-week blocks.
Yoga for Beginners
Our gentle yoga classes could help you stay fit and healthy! They run on Monday mornings in six-week blocks.
Drawing for Beginners
This course suits absolute beginners as well as anyone who wants to improve their existing skills. This course is fun, creative and a great way for to learn how to draw more accurately. You will explore using with different materials and focus on gaining a new skill in each class. The classes run in eight-week blocks on Tuesday evenings. At the end of the course you will get to exhibit your work in an art show !
Suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with more experience. Here you can develop your skills in poetry and prose with coaching from an expert. You will also be able to share your work and learn from others in the class. Sessions run in six-week blocks.
Learn new skills every week, perfect your aim and technique to hit the bullseye! Sessions run on Saturdays for six-week blocks and equipment is provided.
Fly Tying for Beginners
Learn how to tie flies for angling and fishing. Our two expert tutors will teach you the basics of fishing with flies. This eight-week course will culminate in a trip to a local fishery where you put the flies you have tied to use. All materials and equipment will be provided.
Time: 6.00pm to 8.00pm
Absolute beginners and those with more experience are all welcome! Come and play chess with your neighbours while receiving coaching from our expert chess tutor. Sessions will run on Monday evenings on a drop-in basis.
