The Deep End
The Deep End is an arts space and social enterprise developed by Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT) offering a safe and secure space of 900 square meters with a sheltered urban courtyard of 130 square meters. It is located in the heart of the southside, just five minutes walk from Pollokshields West and Queen’s Park rail stations.
The space houses Govanhill Baths Arts (GBArt) Arts Space with artists studios, workshop spaces and room hire, as well as a fully-equipped ceramics studio. It is home to Rags to Riches offices, Studio and the UpHub.
Govanhill Baths Ceramics also operates from the Deep End, providing a range of pottery classes and courses.
The Deep End will host a variety of creative programmes delivered by the GBCT, in particular our highly popular Wellbeing programmes.
Creativity has always been at the heart of Govanhill Baths and is the focus of this new, inspiring and vibrant space. It has been designed to meet the needs of arts practitioners and makers with an accessible and welcoming venue.
The Deep End also furthers the aims of GBCT’s Govanhill Art and Environment Network (GAEN), which aims to facilitate regeneration of the local area through art and environmental projects.
