The ‘Throwing 2:0’ is aimed for those who have had one or two sets of classes in the past and are looking to learn more. Over this four week course, Robert will help improve your throwing and help build your confidence in throwing larger objects or new forms such as; plates or height in pieces. He will support and guide you through the sessions and aims to help you reach a new level on the wheel.

Week 1 – Throwing Cylinders

Week 2 – Thrown Bowls / wide objects / plates

Week 3 – Trimming and additional throwing

Week 4 – trimming and slip decoration

All materials and tools are supplied, your pieces will be glazed using our house glazes (white or transparent).

The two and a half hour classes allows you two hours on the wheel, and 30 minutes for packing down. Expect to make around 4-6 pieces over the course of these 4 sessions.

You won’t have the pieces back in time for Christmas.

Description

This workshop will be held at The Deep End, 21 Nithsdale Street, Glasgow, G41 2PZ.

Access the venue via the slope which has the sign ‘The Deep End’ at the top. Walk down the slope to the courtyard which is where you’ll find us. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins, so you can get settled and comfortable.
