The Irish in the Gorbals and Govanhill

‘Little Donegal’ traces the influence of Irish migrants to the southside of Glasgow, especially from the North West of Ireland, and how their lives affected the area they settled in. The 2nd Edition includes a new preface by Colm Bryce and the following new chapters: Class Struggle and Sectarianism in Glasgow; Glasgow and the War of Independence; Ernie O’Malley, The Irish and Labour Politics in Glasgow and Redevelopment of the Gorbals.
