Get Arty Evening Course: Textiles and Sewing 4th April – 9th May 2023

Love sewing? Love art? Well, we’re trying something new at Rags to Riches with our brand new Arty Evening Course focusing on the more fluid, experimental sides of textiles and sewing!

Join Gail for 6 weeks of creative sewing and textiles, where you’ll get to cut loose from the restraints of object based learning and delve into the wonderful world of:

• – Felting 
• – Embroidery
• – Embellishment
• – Drawing using a sewing machine 
• – Collage
• – Wire work
• – Multimedia exploration 

Whether you have textiles at home that you want to upgrade, or you simply want to come along and try your hand at something different, this course might be just perfect for you.

It is a well known fact that arts and crafts can be fantastic for your mental wellbeing and Gail, our resident textile and sewing whizz will guide you throughout the course so that you can explore sewing and textiles in a relaxed and fun way. We have tonnes of fantastic machines for you to try including:

• – Domestic overlockers
• – Industrial sewing machine
• – Machine embellisher
• – Domestic sewing machines
• – Cover stitch machine
