Family Friendly Bug Hotel Building workshop (Saturday 20th May)

£35.00

Learn how to make a safe, cosy home for all those garden creatures in the Bug Hotel building workshop!

Using recycled materials, you will learn how to construct and then decorate your bug hotel ready to be placed in the wild of your garden. Suitable for children 8yrs plus, accompanied by an adult.  This activity is perfect for working in a pair.

Session breakdown

  • 9am start – You’ll be shown how to measure and cut your wood using a hand saw. Then begin constructing your hotel
  • 10.15am – Snack & tea break. Please bring your own snacks to eat during the break.
  • 10.30 – 12pm – Finish constructing, then decorate ready for the bugs to move in.

All materials and equipment are provided by us, so simply bring yourself and we’ll sort out the rest!

What you will learn:

  • Basic woodworking skills from sawing to attaching pieces of wood together, leaving with your very own bug hotel!

Date:

  • Saturday 20th May: 9am – 12pm

Ticket:

  • One ticket includes one adult and one child.

Suitable for children 8yrs plus, accompanied by an adult.  This activity is perfect for working in a pair.

Description

This workshop will in our wood workshop at The Deep End, 21 Nithsdale Street, Glasgow, G41 2PZ.

Access the venue via the slope which has the sign ‘The Deep End’ at the top. Walk down the slope to the courtyard which is where you’ll find us. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins, so you can get settled and comfortable.
