(7th July – 11th August) Summer Quilted Jacket Intermediate Evening Course (6 week course)

Ready to take the next step in your sewing journey?

Over 6 x 2.5 hour workshops, this course will cover basic pattern drafting (including creating your own personalised jacket pattern!), sewing panels, finishing techniques, pockets, and hand quilting, to create a bespoke lightweight quilted jacket!

You will have access to all the fabric, materials and equipment you need however feel free to bring your own supplies if you have your own preferred sewing kit!

Although you don’t need to be an expert, this intermediate sewing class is suitable for those with some previous sewing machine experience. If you are a beginner, check out our Sewing for Beginners Evening Course.

About your tutor: Eva Harrold – Slow Stitch Studio

Slow Stitch Studio is the practice and shop of Eva Harrold, a textile and clothing maker and teacher from Glasgow. Eva makes bespoke contemporary items with a throwback to classic craft, limited colour palettes, soft lines and block shapes feature heavily with connecting quilted and embroidered lines. As a workshop tutor, Eva enjoys creating a safe, creative space and working with students to attain individual goals. Believing that everyone should have the knowledge to enable them to begin their own sewing journey.

Description

This workshop will be held at The Deep End, 21 Nithsdale Street, Glasgow, G41 2PZ.

Access the venue via the slope which has the sign ‘The Deep End’ at the top. Walk down the slope to the courtyard which is where you’ll find us. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins, so you can get settled and comfortable.
