Govanhill Baths are seeking an art tutor for a creative arts project called ‘Time for Art,’ an art group for people over the age of 55.
GBCT are looking for a sessional art tutor to facilitate art classes at St Ninian’s Church Hall as part of the GBCT Arts programme. The classes will be three hours long, occurring weekly in ten-week blocks, the first block starting Wednesday 27th September. The tutor will need to be able to deliver high-quality lessons introducing people to different art media and which explore a variety of approaches and outcomes. They will also facilitate an exhibition of participants’ work at the end the course. The art tutor must have an art and design qualification and an enthusiasm for and experience with community arts; and an interest in working with older people. They will be supported by the Art Manager to collect monitoring and evaluation information as well as managing an access and materials budget.
