Art and Politics: Learning from the Past, Making for the Future – A Workshop
Thursday 4th November, 1:30pm – 4pm
Venue Room, The Deep End, 21 Nithsdale Street (G41 2PZ)
In this workshop the art collective Cut-Through will introduce a range of historical approaches that artists have taken to politicising their work. We will continue the discussion while exploring some practical techniques for making art with an emphasis on work that reflects or engages with social and political movements today. We will create slogans and turn them into musical performances, put together collages from radical archive material, and look at approaches to structuring and editing film.
