The famous Govanhill Carnival Parade is back for the sixth time – more colourful and vibrant than ever! This anti-racist celebration of diversity and unity, will once again weave its way from Govanhill Park to Queens Park. Drummers, pipers, brass bands, jugglers, roller skaters, dancers and all the brilliant community groups are back too, and they are all ready to make some noise (and have some fun)! We can’t wait to see you with your glad rags on. It’s time for some dancing in the street! We’re back again for a wonderful coming together of the community and this year’s line up might just be our best yet!
The Carnival will be held at the much-loved Queen’s Park and we promise you a concert showcasing the incredible talent and culture which makes this city so unique… and that’s not all! It wouldn’t be a celebration of the spirit, solidarity and vibrancy of Govanhill without our community stalls and family-friendly activities.
With art workshops including print your own free Govanhill Festival tote bag with Print Clan, face painting, games, bouncy castles, and much more to get involved in on the day – there’s something for everyone! These will be happening throughout the day over at the entrance to the main arena!Community groups wanting a stall or to host an activity, please contact:
