A public exhibition of proposals for the re-development of the former Larkfield Bus Depot at Butterbiggins Road will take place at Daisy Street Neighbourhood Centre on Wednesday 07 June 11am-6pm. There has been a significant change to original plans published in the press last year with an increase in the size of the residential site but a change in “the nature” of housing at this site. This was supposed to be only for housing for social rent but the new proposals state it is now “affordable” rather than “social” housing. The term “affordable” usually refers to private housing for sale. GBCT would encourage anyone who has concerns about this or an interest in it to attend the “exhibition” and let the developers know your views.
