Soup, Song and a Swally is Back!
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Govanhill Baths,
This is just a quick update to let you know
about two Govanhill Baths events this week.
1) Our next Friends of the Baths meeting will take place at 7pm
TONIGHT, Tuesday, 18 November at Govanhill Neighbourhood Centre, 6
Daisy Street.
Please come along and help us organise our work in support of the
reopening of the Govanhill Baths!
2) Sunday, 30 November, we are having our Soup, Song and a Swally
food
and music event! This month's event is "An Urban Folk Session"
featuring
Kris Sparahawk and Paul Algar, and Govanhill's own local poets, Seeds
of Thought. Plus an open mike for all of our local talent.
The event takes place at McNeil's on Torrisdale Street - doors open at
1pm and the delicious two course meal begins at 1:30, with music
starting at 2. Tickets are £6 (£4 concession) and are available at the
door or at the Govanhill Baths Charity Shop, 73 Calder Street.
