A Weekend Of Film At The Baths
Posted: 17th May 2012 By Govanhill Baths
This weekend sees the Baths host two important film based events. On Saturday on Sunday from 10am-4pm we have the innovative We Are Northern Lights project delivered by Diversity films. The project is a film workshop that instructs people on how to make films with anything from phones to cameras and is a chance to take part in a national project to compile a documentary film from those who take part. Saturday night at 9.30pm we play host to the Southside Film Festival who will be showing three short films on the theme of swimming. The programme includes Jean Vigo’s 1931 film “Jean Vargis, Swimming Champion, “River Child” and “Butterfly” as well as another chance to catch “5,6,7,8” which was filmed at Govanhill Baths last year.
