'Five Six Seven Eight! is a fast-paced surf rock comedy about the bold and clumsy attempts of a young man to catch the eye of the pretty volunteer at the Govanhill Baths. He sets off a chain reaction of events to get the girl and save the day.'
Govanhill Baths presents an unforgettable opportunity to watch Debasers Filums latest short movie in the location it was filmed as part of a unique evening where absolutely anything can happen.
Arrive early and you’ll get a night packed full of surprises as we celebrate the Golden Era of 1950s Cinema and Dance Hall in the Edwardian main pool with surf rock band The Head Henchmen, the cast of Five Six Seven Eight and an array of special guests including the talents of the virtuoso cabaret legend John Sampson.
Dust off your 50s togs, polish up your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away!

Five Six Seven Eight!, the third short from Debasers Filums, was shot entirely in the main swimming pool of the Govanhill Baths. It's directed by Felipe Bustos Sierra and stars Cameron Hall, Anna Nierobisz, Katch Holmes and David Banks."
Govanhill Baths Community Trust says;
"We warmly welcome Debasers Filums to the baths for this first major event since our launch by Peter Mullan on 4th February. We are delighted to have contributed and hope that all our supporters will come along and enjoy what is going to be a very special evening."
After an approach from debasers in May last year we were able to offer the baths as a "site" for this unique short film that creates this "fifties" rock production. With its own 40 or so "extras", live band and actors assisted by our own 40 or so extras from our Friends and community members, a thoroughly enjoyable 4 days was spent making the "film in a pool".
