How Do Local People Feel About Govanhill? Our Community Asset Study Is Launched

Posted: 20th Sept. 2010 By Govanhill Baths

In the historic Steamie to the rear of the baths, on the evening of Friday 17th before Doors Open weekend there was the launch of the Trust’s Centre for Community Practice’s intensive community consultation in Govanhill over the last 6 months. It describes how people perceive their built and social assets and how connected they feel to the decision-making processes affecting their community. Professor of Human Ecology, Alistair McIntosh at Strathclyde University, introduced and discussed the report. A summary report of the consultation is available from the CCP in a handy “newspaper” format. The full report can be downloaded from the website.
