Burns Nicht Ceilidh And Our New 'Emporium'

Posted: 21st Dec. 2010 By Govanhill Baths

Tickets will be available from the 5th January for our now legendary 'Burns Nicht Ceilidh', Saturday the 29th January 2011. We have been able to keep ticket prices at the same rate as last year, £10 and £8 conc (including a haggis dinner), and we are delighted to say we have been able to book the magnificent 'Cosmic Ceilidh Band' for the event! Our 'Burns Nicht Ceilidh' is usually a sell out event so we would urge everyone to buy their tickets early in the New Year to avoid disappointment.

Another exciting upcoming event in January 2011, is the opening of Govanhill Baths Community Trust new 'Emporium' at 465 Victoria Road. Following on from the huge success of our Charity Shop on Calder Street, we have now been able to secure new, larger premises so that we can raise funds, raise awareness and continue to provide a useful resource for the Govanhill Community. Why not come along on to our official opening on Saturday the 21st of January, grab a bargain and support the Baths and the Govanhill Community at the same time?

We hope that next year we will be able to bring you further exciting news on the Baths project as we mark the 10th anniversary of the closure of the facility.

Everyone at Govanhill Baths Community Trust and the Centre for Community Practice, would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a fruitful, joyous New Year!
