There are many ways to support the work of the trust. One way is to volunteer your time find out if we could use your skills on the volunteer section
Other ways which you can help are:
Join as a member
You can join as a member of the trust for as little as £1 but a contribution of £10 or more a year supports the running of the Trust and the costs of the member benefits (regular newsletter, events, merchandise discounts).
As a member you get a chance to have a say in the running of the Trust through Friends meetings, AGM and consultations with the wider membership.
Join as a business member
We would encourage local businesses to show their support for the Trust through joining as a member. Your business would get a free promotion on the website and a free advert in the newsletter once a year. You would also get a sign saying We Support the Govanhill Baths Community Trust.
Support the Charity Shop
Come and find some bargains at our Charity Shop on Victoria Road or bring your old clothes, books, furniture, toys etc when you are having a clear out.
Buy our merchandise
Display your support for us with our fantastic range of Govanhill Baths merchandise including t-shirts, bags, t-towels, badges, CDs and postcards. Available from the Charity Shop and the office on Calder Street.
Make a donation
We are urgently seeking funds to support the running of the Trust. While we are largely reliant on volunteers the office and our administrator does vital work in providing a hub for information, meetings and communications. Donate here.
If you would like to make a larger donation for a specific project or initiative of the Trust please contact us to discuss.
Fundraise for us
Are you up for a physical challenge? Are you taking part in a sporting event this year, Pedal for Scotland, the Great Scottish Run, the Women's 10K? Would you run, swim, pedal on behalf of the Trust and raise sponsorship? We would give you your own fundraising web page and a free t-shirt.
Some other ideas:
- Would you run a tombola stall at your school fair or community event?
- Could you organise a music event with the profits going to the Trust?
- How about a raffle at your work christmas party?
- Contact us with your ideas and we will provide you with leaflets and see how we can help.
The Trust is a grassroots organisation supported and developed through active involvement by members of the local community.
Many of our active members have been involved since the Trust began having first joined the occupation of the pool in 2001. Many more join on a regular basis to support the running of the Trust, get involved in community projects initiated by the Baths and help achieve one of the Trust's core aims to reopen the Baths as a Wellbeing Centre.
