STREETLAND PECHA-KUCHA

STREETLAND PECHA-KUCHA

Pecha Kucha (Japanese for 'chit chat') is a lively presentation format in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each, enabling a fast-paced, concise ideas exchange which fosters creativity, spontaneity and experimentation.

Streetland has assembled a diverse array of speakers from the community across activism and the arts to present their unique take on ‘spirit’.

Spirit might be... -Fighting spirit, the grit and determination it takes to flee persecution and rebuild your life -Community spirit, the integration and welcome shared between refugees and local communities -Scotland’s spirit, the cultural enrichment and diversity Scotland has achieved on its journey

And that’s just the beginning!

Join us at Govanhill Baths on Tuesday 19 June to see how each guest approaches and interprets the Refugee Week theme. Guest speakers will be announced gradually in the run up to the event, so watch this space closely!
